A gunman killed two people and wounded five others at a yoga studio in Florida's capital, before killing himself Friday evening.

Tallahassee Police Chief Michael DeLeo told reporters the man shot six people and pistol-whipped another after walking in to the studio, which is in a small Tallahassee shopping center.

Police have not identified the shooter and the conditions of the surviving victims is still unclear, although police do know the shooter acted alone.

"We are all very saddened and shocked by the events that occurred, but it's important that people understand there is no immediate threat outside of what has already occurred this evening," DeLeo said.

The shooting sent victims running to a nearby business.  Melissa Hutchinson said she helped treat a man who was bleeding 'profusely'. "It was a shocking moment, something happened like this."

The plaza is home to popular restaurants, a jewelry store a framing shop, hair salon and other businessess.
