When schools announce they're closing because of snow, kids are usually ecstatic. But students in one Kentucky school district get extra excited because their principal makes his snow day announcements extra special by singing them!
Chad Caddell, the principal at Union Pointe Academy in Florence writes out new lyrics for popular songs. So far he's recorded and posted three parody videos online, spoofing Mariah Carey's "Hero", Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and "Friends in low places" by Garth Brooks.
Caddell originally came up with the idea three years ago, when his district was closed for two weeks because of snow.
His videos were originally shared for his students and staff, but have now spread to more than a million viewers. Caddell says his songs are a way to make things a little fun and students and parents love them.
