President Trump has revoked his invitation to the White House for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He says the Superbowl champions aren't invited because of the controversy surrounding the National Anthem protests. And the reactions continue to pour in on Twitter, everyone from players to elected officials weighing in on the matter.

President Trump made the announcement less than 24 hours before the Eagles were supposed to visit the White House. Releasing this statement:

The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow. They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country. The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better. The fans are still invited to the White House to be part of a different type of ceremony — one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem. I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United State Army Chorus to celebrate America.

Former Ravens Wide Receiver and Philadelphia champion Torrey Smith released a statement after the announcement saying not many people were going to go, and that no one refused to go because Trump insists folks stand for the anthem.

Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey also weighed in saying he's skipping the event and then he also goes on to invite the Eagles to tour the capitol.

No word yet on whether or not the Eagles will still travel to Washington D.C. and take Senator Casey up on his offer.
