Indiana Pacers star Paul George will be the next athlete to grace the cover of the NBA 2K series.

The official Twitter account for the latest installment, NBA 2K17, tweeted a picture of George on the cover of the next game Wednesday evening.

George will appear on the standard version of the game. The "Legends" version of the game will feature retiring Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant.

The series, first published in 1999, featured then-76ers star Allen Iverson for years.

Since 2003, Iverson's last year on the cover, the NBA 2k series has featured basketball greats like Shaquille O'Neal (twice), Kevin Garnett, LeBron James and Michael Jordan (three times).

The 2016 edition of the game had four different cover athletes: Steph Curry, Anthony Davis, James Harden and Michael Jordan.

NBA 2K17 is scheduled to release in September.
