The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has recalled several types of dog food over potentially toxic levels of vitamin D. They say pet owners should immediately stop feeding these recalled foods to their pets.
"Vitamin D is an essential nutrient for dogs," the FDA said. "But very high amounts can cause serious health problems like kidney failure or death."
