Delaware State Police say a man previously convicted of five charges of driving under the influence of alcohol has been charged a sixth time.
The agency said in a statement Monday that a trooper saw a car with its lights flashing pulled over on the road shoulder in Ellendale Sunday evening.
Authorities say as the trooper checked on the driver, the trooper smelled alcohol. After a DUI investigation, 53-year-old Kervy Riley of Lincoln was arrested.
Police say a records check showed Riley had five previous DUI convictions. He is charged with sixth offense DUI, driving after judgment prohibited and driving while suspended or revoked.
It could not be determined if Riley has a lawyer.
