MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — Kathleen Zellner, the attorney for the man who was the focus of the documentary series "Making a Murderer," Steven Avery, said she will present new information in her client's case later today.

Zellner said the announcement would be made at 12:30 p.m. local time Thursday:

"Buckle up," Zellner tweeted.

Avery's case has attracted increased national scrutiny ever since Netflix released its documentary series "Making a Murderer." Season 2 of the series dropped last month.

Avery is currently incarcerated in the Manitowoc County jail for the murder of Teresa Halbach.
