MEMPHIS, Tennessee — A concerned citizen captured video of a woman letting children out of pet kennels in the back of a truck, which led to the woman's arrest.

That woman, Leimome Cheeks, is the 62-year-old grandmother of the two children, according to WREG television station in Tennessee.

Cheeks is charged with child endangerment and admitted to police the children were in the kennels during a 35-minute drive. The kennels were for her new German Shepard puppies.

Neighbors say this it is out of character for her Cheeks, according to WREG.

Cheeks will appear in court today, reports say.
