More than 500,000 people around the world have recovered from coronavirus

As of Wednesday, April 15, more than 500,000 people around the world have won the fight against COVID-19.

According to data from Johns Hopkins University's Coronavirus Resource Center, 501,206 people have recovered from COVID-19.

The data shows that most of the recoveries were in China, where the outbreak began. The nation reported more than 77,000 recovered individuals.

In the United States, there have been just under 50,000 recoveries. The U.S. has reported the most positive cases nationwide at more than 600,000.

Maryland is currently at 10,032 cases.
