The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Cruisers on Sept. 13 at the college's Alumni Amphitheater.
The show, which begins at 6:15 p.m., is part of the college's Red, White and Blue Concert Series. It's sponsored by the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Korean War Veterans Association, Joint Veterans Council and Amvets Post 14.
The U.S. Navy Cruisers is an eight-member contemporary music ensemble under the direction of Chief Musician Leon Alexander. The group takes its name from the Navy's multi-mission ship, the Cruiser. Its musicians perform jazz and standards, rhythm and blues, classic rock, contemporary and pop, as well as original pieces.
The concert is free and open to the public.
