One man is on a nationwide mission to mow lawns for single mothers, military veterans and the elderly.

The man, 26-year-old Rodney Smith, started the "50 States, 50 Lawns" project on May 10. He plans to mow one lawn in each state before the end of June.

"For many single mothers, veterans and our disabled and elderly neighbors, maintaining lawns simply isn't possible," Smith said in a press release.

Along with his "50 States, 50 Lawns" project, Smith is the founder of Raising Men Lawn Care Services (RMLS), which aims to keep youth on a positive track by providing free lawn care for those in need.

"I'm on a mission to inspire - and teach - our youth to give back to their communities for free," Smith said.
