Woman opens store credit card in someone else's name, spends $15k at outlets

QUEENSTOWN, Md. (WMAR) — Police are looking for a woman accused of committing identity theft and credit card fraud to buy thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

The victim called the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office on December 9 to report that someone had opened a Kay Jewelers credit card in their name, and used it to buy $15,000 in jewelry.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspect used the card on November 19, at the Queesntown Prime Outlets off Route 50.

Detectives have released store surveillance photos of the woman, and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-758-0770, extension 1296.
