BALTIMORE — A woman was killed in a crash on I-83 after losing control of her car and hitting another vehicle.
On Sunday at about 8:38 a.m., officers responded to I-83 South near the Pepsi sign for a serious accident.
When officers arrived, they found a 2008 Chevy Equinox that had been driven by a 32-year-old woman.
The woman was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital where she died a short time later.
The BPD crash team is investigating the crash and learned that the woman had been driving southbound on I-83 when she lost control of her vehicle and hit another vehicle that was resting on the shoulder of the highway.
Police say that vehicle had been there as a result of an earlier crash and the owner was not inside of the vehicle at the time of the deadly crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
