OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Baltimore County Police are now investigating a suspicious death after family members found a woman dead in her home Friday morning.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Lantana Drive in Owings Mills at 10:56 a.m. where they found 49-year-old Mindi Brooks deceased.
She had been shot at least one time.
Detectives also discovered a deceased dog inside the home.
Neighbors tell WMAR the victim worked as a healthcare professional and was a mother to two.
Baltimore County Police Homicide detectives are continuing the investigation into the death.
