SAVAGE, Md. — Maryland State Police say weather conditions may have played a role in a series of Tuesday morning crashes that left a man dead along I-95 in Howard County.

It all started around 5:15 am on the northbound side when three cars got into a minor crash just shy of route 32.

Jose Ismael Bonilla Reyes, 36, owned one of the vehicles involved.

While outside looking over the damage a fourth car, a Honda Civic, lost control and slid into a Honda Accord that had been involved in the original crash.

Reyes then became pinned between the Honda Accord and another car, killing him.

The driver of the Civic remained on scene. Police are investigating any other factors that could've contributed to the second fatal crash.

In all two men and a woman were injured and taken to the hospital.
