BALTIMORE — Volunteers in East Baltimore are making sure families aren't going without during these unsure times.
Banner Neighborhoods' partnered with Southeast Youth and Families Engagement Organization for a food box giveaway.
They packed and distributed 300 boxes for families in need. The event was first come first serve and each family was able to take three boxes.
"I decided to do this because back to the community always love and they know that they've got people around that need help. During the pandemic you have to help one another out so we can get through this and get back to normal."
The organizations plan to pass out food boxes every two months.
