BALTIMORE (WMAR) — There's a new CEO at Under Armour.
On Tuesday, the Board of Directors named current President and Chief Operating Officer, Patrik Frisk to the position.
Kevin Plank, who founded Under Armour in Baltimore had been CEO since its inception in 1996. He will now become Executive Chairman and Brand Chief, and continue to head the Board of Directors.
Frisk joined Under Armour in 2017 with over 30 years of experience at The Aldo Group, The North Face, and Timberland.
As CEO he will report directly to Plank, who feels Frisk has earned the opportunity to lead.

As Brand Chief, the company says Plank will work to elevate the Under Armour product and its story.
