CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (WMAR) — An armed and dangerous fugitive was arrested last week by the United States Marshals after a nearly six month long manhunt.

The ATF had been offering a $5000 reward for 34-year-old Deante Mandel Duckett, who was wanted out of Charles County on federal gun related charges.

Duckett was indicted on May 6, on three counts of being a felon illegally in possession of a firearm.

Officials say he's a five-time previously convicted felon, who was already on supervised release at the time he went on the loose.

Duckett had been on the run since July 10, when he cut a court-ordered monitoring device off his ankle.

Investigators recovered ammunition and a stolen gun from the home Duckett was in at the time of his arrest.
