Two people injured in single vehicle crash in Carroll County

CARROLL COUNTY — Two people were injured in a single vehicle crash in Carroll County.

On Tuesday at about 11:53pm, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Fire/Rescue personnel responded to the area of Bachmans Valley Road and Danlyn Drive for a reported vehicle crash.

The collision involved a Subaru Outback passenger car.

The initial investigation found that the driver of the Subaru, a 20-year-old man from Westminster, was traveling south on Bachmans Valley Road in the area of Danlyn Drive.

The vehicle left the roadway, hit a telephone pole and overturned. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The passenger, a 21-year-old man from Westminster, was also injured in the collision.

The driver was taken by Maryland State Police Helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries. The passenger was taken to York Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit responded and is continuing the investigation.

Charges, if applicable, will be determined based on the conclusion of the investigation.
