LINTHICUM, Md. (WMAR) — With only over two months left in the year, TSA agents at BWI Airport have already tied last year's record for guns seized.

TSA officials say agents recovered their 26th gun of 2019 on Saturday.

The fully loaded 9mm semiautomatic handgun was spotted in a carry-on bag, as it was going through an x-ray machine at one of the airport's security checkpoints.

An Annapolis man told agents that he had forgot he had the gun in his luggage.

He was later arrested and charged for a weapons violation.

His name was not released.
