BALTIMORE — As virtual learning continues, many students in the greater Baltimore area are still in need of internet access and computers to complete school work.

To address this need, Toyota USA Foundation is donating $100,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore, and $100,000 to the Fund for Educational Excellence, benefiting Baltimore City Public schools.

These contributions will fund Wi-Fi access points, mobile Wi-Fi devices, laptop computers, and software licenses – all of which will help local students access virtual learning.

These donations are part of $3,357,000 in grants issued by the Toyota USA Foundation to support students in 13 states where the company has operations, building upon Toyota’s ongoing COVID-19 relief efforts nationwide, as well as prior foundation grants focused on e-learning programs and hunger, and the recent launch of an education hub that includes virtual field trips to the company’s operations.
