BALTIMORE — With more snow on the way, a local organization is making sure kids in Baltimore City stay warm.

The REBOUNDCenter called on the community to donate coats for a coat drive.

Executive Director Ericka Alston posted an Amazon wish list on social media. Afterward, she received 100 coats to her home.

"What I've learned in my years of giving here in Baltimore is that people want to help, and people are just looking for tangible things to give to,” said Alston. “People see me post; they see that I give, and people are always willing to support. I don't take that for granted. I'm always, always grateful that I can ask and know without a doubt there's going to be a village to show up to donate to these children in Baltimore."

The REBOUNDCenter is on West Baltimore Street. It helps young adults between 18 and 30 recover and navigate life without drugs or alcohol

Services include mental health and trauma therapy, GED classes, financial literacy and planning, and legal support. Services are available to everyone in the surrounding community.
