BALTIMORE — No matter the hour or holiday— our first responders are on the clock.
Rick Foster and the team at Engel & Volkers Annapolis wanted them to know they are appreciated during these difficult times.
“It is great to be able to give somebody a pie, but if really want to show our appreciation for our first responders we gotta wear our masks, we gotta social distance, and we gotta forgo those large gatherings this holiday season until we get control of this virus,” Foster said.
The staff at Engel & Volkers Real Estate spent the last few days driving around to different locations handing out apple and pumpkin pies.
“We started out on Sunday with the drive by for a pie where we kind of reached out to people saying come on by,” said Jen McCormick. “We continued the effort throughout the days and today drove around for a couple hours.”
Christopher’s in West River provided the pies at a discounted price.
The group delivered the tasty desserts to fire and police stations throughout the day.
“My dad actually works for the police department and I know excited they get to get any food anytime of the year, but especially around the holidays when they are spending time away from their families,” said Montana Herndon.
In total over 160 pies were handed out to first responders.
