GLEN BURNIE — After 60 years of serving the community, Sunset Restaurant in Glen Burnie will close on Sept. 30.
The restaurant said this has been a very difficult and painful decision for the Fratt family, as Sunset has been the heart and soul of the family for the last 60 years.
They anticipated celebrating their 60th anniversary this year but instead were met with unprecedented hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The restaurant said like many other family owned businesses, restrictions and the regulations imposed by the restaurant industry drove them to make this decision.
They will be accepting Sunset Gift Cards in their restaurant, bar and liquor store until close of business on September 30 for purchases of food and beverages for dine in or carry out.
