Two separate shootings in Baltimore County leave one man dead, another hospitalized

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — Baltimore County Police are now investigating two Monday night shootings, one of which was fatal.

The first shooting happened just after 6 p.m., when police arrived to the 9200 block of Christo Court in Owings Mills for a call of a shooting. Responding officers arrived and found the victim, 25-year-old Dwayne Edward Elliott III, of the 2700 block of W. North Avenue, suffering a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The preliminary investigation determined that the Elliott was shot while in his vehicle. He was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding this murder and ask anyone who may have information to contact them by calling 410-307-2020.

The second shooting happened almost four hours later, at 9:41 p.m., when police responded to the 7000 block of Dunmanway in Dundalk for a call of a shooting. Officers found the victim, an adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body. He was transported to a local hospital.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and ask anyone who may have information to contact them by calling 410-307-2020.
