BALTIMORE — Ray Lewis held a private clothing giveaway for Baltimore area youth, giving suits and dresses to about 100 families.

Lewis has called Baltimore home for over 20 years, involving himself in community philanthropy focusing on disadvantaged youth.

On Sunday, Lewis hosted a private clothing giveaway to Baltimore area youth in partnership with Macy’s Department Store and Perry Moving & Storage based in Maryland.

This will be one of many giveaways that will take place throughout the region over the next 30 days through Lewis’ charitable arm, Ray of Hope.

“We’ve had to shift the way we operate during this time because of the pandemic, keeping events smaller and closed to the general public to keep everyone socially distanced and safe,” said Lewis, “But one thing that will never change is my love for Baltimore so I wanted to find a way to continue my outreach, just in a different way. I am extremely grateful for the partnership with Macy’s and Perry Moving & Storage. This would not be possible without them.”

Ray of Hope is working with several area organizations to identify and reach those in need including Messiah Community Church, Hug Don’t Shoot, Broadway East Community Association, Empowering Minds, and Baltimore Brothers.
