QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY — Queen Anne’s County is postponing the reopening of schools.

On Wednesday, Queen Anne’s County Board of Education voted to postpone the reopening of schools to the hybrid model. The vote was 3 to 2.

Based on the current health metrics and trends for Queen Anne’s County, upcoming holidays and community exposure, the board said they felt it was best to continue with the January 2020 hybrid reopening plans.

Queen Anne’s County Schools will continue small group instruction at each school and prioritize the safety of students.

They stated safety recommendations and metrics can and will change, so schedules may change to ensure the safety of their small group students and staff.
