Police: Fight between neighbors leads to deadly stabbing of Baltimore County man

WESTMINISTER — A fight between neighbors led to a 23-year-old Baltimore County man being killed in Westminister after he was stabbed in the chest.

On Saturday at about 9:24 pm, Westminster Police Department officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at the intersection of South Bishop Street and Carroll View Avenue in Westminster.

Police say involved individuals left the scene before officers’ arrived. Shortly thereafter, officers located a man with facial injuries driving on Bishop Street.

The man stated that he had driven the victim to Carroll Hospital Center. The Carroll Hospital Center subsequently contacted the Westminster Police Department, and said that the victim had walked into its emergency room with a stab wound to his chest.

The victim was flown to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he died from his injuries.

Police have identified the victim as 23-year-old Devin G. Raney of Baltimore County.

Westminster Police Department detectives responded to the scene to investigate. Preliminary investigation revealed that a dispute between neighbors occurred that became physical in nature.

The case remains under investigation.
