Police identify body found in wooded area in Columbia, offering $5K reward for information

COLUMBIA — Howard County Police found a body in a wooded area in Columbia.

They identified the body as 34-year-old Nahun Odilio Delgado-Sanchez.

Police received a tip that there may be a body in a wooded area next to the 6100 block of Old Dobbin Lane.

They responded to that location Tuesday morning and found the body of Delgado-Sanchez.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances of his death and believe there was foul play. They are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the case.

Investigators believe Delgado-Sanchez was last seen alive approximately one month ago, but he had not been reported missing.

Delgado-Sanchez’s death has been preliminary ruled a homicide.

Police said there are no further details available about the nature of his injuries.
