PASADENA, Md. — A 30-year-old Pasadena man was arrested after police say he broke into an apartment and tried holding a couple at knife point over money.

It happened Thursday morning in the 8800 block of Fort Smallwood Road.

Anne Arundel County Police were initially told the call was related to a family disturbance involving someone under the influence of drugs.

Apparently the suspect, Christopher Blaine Brown, lives upstairs in the main residence and the victims downstairs in a private apartment they rent out.

Brown reportedly broke into that lower level apartment wielding a knife, demanding money.

At the time, the victims happened to be in bed and refused to hand anything over.

That's when police say Brown tried punching the male victim, but was instead punched by the female which caused him to drop the knife.

The couple then chased Brown out of their apartment.

Soon after police arrived and arrested him in the upstairs residence.

It's unclear if Brown was under the influence or if he had any relation to the victims.
