EDGEWATER, Md. — Police are searching for a Crownsville man wanted in connection to a double shooting that happened Saturday night in the 20th block of Brick Church Road around 7 p.m.

According to police, the suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Wilber Oswaldo Nunez-Menendez.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Nunez-Menendez. He's wanted for First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder, two counts of First-Degree Assault, two counts of Second-Degree Assault, two counts of Reckless Endangerment, coupled with firearm related charges.

According to investigators officers were called to Brick Church Road where they found 52-year-old Ronal Alcidis Maldonado Quijada and an unidentified 28-year-old man with gunshot wounds.

Quijada died on the scene, while the other victim is expected to recover from his injuries. According to investigators, the shooting was a targeted incident, and not a random act of violence.

"We do not believe there is a threat to the public, the county, or anyone on the property," said Anne Arundel County Police spokesperson Mark Limansky. "This was targeted incident. Early indications show there was some type of escalation, some type of dispute that occurred between individuals who knew each other."

Anyone who witnessed the crime or has information about the suspect's location is asked to call 410-222-4731. You can remain anonymous.

His vehicle has been located and searched in relation to the case, but Nunez-Menendez remains at large. The body of Mr. Quijada will be autopsied by the Chief Medical Examiner to determine his exact cause of death. Anyone who witnessed the crime or has any information about the suspect's location is asked to call 410-222-4731.
