ELLICOTT CITY, Md. — Howard County Police are investigating a fatal collision in Ellicott City that killed one person and left another injured.
The collision took place around 2:15 p.m., when a 2010 Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on North Ridge Road when it crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2014 BMW 535i traveling westbound.
The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan, 27-year-old Sadiq Abdul-Wahhab was transported to Howard County General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver and sole occupant of the BMW, 41-year-old Chaitanya Karri, was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where she is in stable condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.
