SEVERN, Md. — Police are investigating two separate series of car break-ins around the Annapolis and Severn areas.

They happened around the same time Wednesday morning.

First it was in the area of Huse and Hillsmere Drive in Annapolis. Several people reported cash and property taken from their vehicles.

Police determined their car doors hadn't been locked.

After reviewing video footage, officers were able to track down and charge a 16-year-old suspect.

Around the same time in Severn, people in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue reported items missing out of their cars.

Officers collected video footage of those incidents and are now looking for a suspect. It's a man about 5 foot 10, last seen wearing a black jacket, white hooded sweatshirt, with gray pants and a white baseball hat.

Anyone with information on that case should call 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
