BEL AIR, Md. — Maryland State Police are investigating a three car crash Tuesday afternoon in Harford County, that left a man dead.

It happened around 3:10 pm on Route 543 at Route 22 in Bel Air.

Police say a Mini Cooper was stopped at a red light.

For some reason a Nissan Versa didn't slow down or stop, and rammed into the back of the Mini Cooper.

This caused the Mini Copper to strike a Chevy Cruz.

The driver of the Nissan Versa, 41-year-old John Vanluit of Nottingham, later died at Shock Trauma.

His passenger was also hospitalized in unknown condition.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
