BEL AIR, Md. — Five years ago two Harford County Sherriff’s deputies were killed in the line of duty. Wednesday, a memorial was held to honor them.

Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey and Deputy First Class Mark Logsdon were fatally shot by a wanted man in Abingdon on February 10, 2016.

Wednesday’s memorial included a moment of silence, sirens from a volunteer fire company, music, and brief remarks from loved ones.

"Its hard to believe it’s been 5 years, but time keeps moving.” Said Harford County Executive Barry Glassman. “Our hearts still feel them and I can still remember that day."

The Aberdeen Ironbirds will honor Dailey and Logsdon with a patch on their jerseys memorializing their badge numbers and a Harford County silhouette patch with the Maryland flag.
