ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police say a member of the department has been suspended with pay following an incident involving use of force.
Police say after the incident was brought to the attention of the police chief, Chief Amal Awad immediately initiated an internal affairs investigation and suspended the officer with pay.
"The Anne Arundel County Police Department is committed to demonstrating transparency and building trust within the Anne Arundel County Community," the department says. "This investigation is a personnel matter and no further information can be released at this time."
