BALTIMORE — A lot of Juneteenth celebrations around the area yesterday.
One took place at the ambassador theater on liberty heights avenue in northwest Baltimore.
Mayor Brandon Scott was there and talked about Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday.
The mayor also says the ambassador theater has been sitting vacant for years.
Now, there's a partnership to bring it back and turn it into a 21st century arts facility.
