BALTIMORE — The Maryland Zoo will resume normal operations on Saturday unless there is additional guidance from state and local authorities to the contrary.
Zoo programs and events will continue as planned, and they encourage guests to follow all recommended guidelines to prevent the spread of disease, as well as practicing social distancing while at the Zoo.
Most of the areas of the Zoo will be open and operating as normal. However there may be some indoor areas closed to guests. Signs will be posted in those areas to notify visitors of any changes.
The health and safety of their guests, employees and volunteers is their priority and they perform regular cleaning and disinfecting several times a day.
The Zoo said alcohol-based sanitizers are available in employee break areas, public restrooms, and throughout the Zoo including food locations.
Like all public venues, they will continue to monitor the situation and follow all guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as state and local authorities.
