Maryland State Fair looking for scholarship applicants

TIMONIUM, Md. — The Maryland State Fair is seeking applicants for the F. Grove Miller Maryland State Fair and the Marlin K. Hoff Scholarship programs.

The F. Grove Miller Maryland State Fair awards $2,000 scholarships to four recipients who are permanent residents of Maryland and active participants in the 2019 Maryland State Fair.

Applicants for the scholarship must also be enrolled in a college/university or be a high school senior entering college. They must write an essay on the impact of their experience participating at the Maryland State Fair and the scholarship fund's benefit to their education and career goals.

The Marlin K. Hoff awards one $2,000 scholarship to a Maryland student that is enrolled in a college/university or previously enrolled in a 4-H, FFA or breed organization dairy project. The applicant will be selected on their involvement in the dairy industry, academic performance, leadership qualities, future goals and financial need.
