HOWARD COUNTY, md. — A man was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Columbia Mall on Friday night.
Anthony Patterson, 20, of Owings Mills, was killed around 10:23 p.m. in front of Main Event after an argument with an unknown shooter. At this stage, there are no indications that Patterson knew the suspect before the incident.
People in the area heard gunshots at the scene. No one else was injured. Detectives believe the shooter quickly fled the scene and there was no ongoing threat to people in the area.
They have not identified the suspect and are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information.
