CROFTON — Police are investigating after a woman said she was shot by her husband before he died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
On Monday, at about 8:30 a.m. officers responded for report of a possible shooting at a home in the 1600 block of Carlyle Drive in Crofton.
When officers arrived, they found a woman outside the home shot in the upper body.
She told officers she was shot by her husband. The victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
Officers made entry into the home and found the victim's husband dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police earlier tweeted that it was a possible barricaded person and there was a heavy police presence in the area.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.
