BALTIMORE — CASA of Baltimore brought in several groups to protest the conditions at the southern border for an event called Lights of Liberty.
In addition to the conditions, CASA wanted to discuss the upcoming ICE raids that will begin on Sunday. The raids will target 2,000 immigrants who are here illegally with criminal records.
"The community should know their rights with anything when it comes to ICE," said Jesus Perez, a CASA advocate.
Mayor Jack Young has said immigrants who call Baltimore home should not live in fear of family separation and deportation. He says he will do all he can to make them feel safe.
