COLUMBIA, Md. — About 20 Howard County residents have been displaced from their home following a Monday evening fire.
It happened around 6:45pm at the Columbia Choice Apartments in the 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road.
Crews arrived to find fire coming from the third floor and roof of the three-story building.
Turns out it started in the attic.
Flames were under control within 30 minutes, but not before five units were impacted by smoke and water damage.
One juvenile was also taken to an area hospital for smoke inhalation.
