NATIONAL — Starting today, you can adopt a letter and make a deserving kid's Christmas on USPSOperationSanta.com.
This year, many families are experiencing unforeseen challenges. USPS Operation Santa turns 108 years old this year. Children in need are writing letters in the hopes that their holiday wishes will be granted. Since the program began, million have been helped by the kindness of others.
Adopters can read through the letters, pick one or more wishes that they’d like to fulfill, and follow the directions on how to grant that special wish for a child.
For security reasons, potential adopters must be vetted by going through a short registration and ID verification process before they are allowed to adopt any letter.
Companies also get into the spirit of the season and adopt letters; every year many businesses create teams and adopt several letters. All the better to help grant that special wish to deserving families and kids.
