HARRFORD COUNTY, md. — The Harford County Health Department is encouraging all to make an appointment at the health department for the required immunizations for fall. In spite of virtual learning, children are still required to be vaccinated, especially if the children are participating in an onsite learning center.

The health department is offering the Varicella and MMR vaccine for Kindergartners and Tdap and Meningitis for 7th graders. However, all children in need of a vaccine are welcome. Those who have medical assistance, are uninsured or underinsured will receive the vaccine at no-cost. If the child has insurance, the insurance company will be billed.

Appointments will be available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for the month of September, at 1321 Woodbridge Station Way in Edgewood. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Due to COVID-19, some new rules are in place upon entering the Edgewood building:
1. Everyone must wear a mask
2. Only one person may accompany the child. No groups.
3. Stay home if you are sick.

To schedule an appointment, please call 410-612-1774.
