ELLICOTT CITY, Md. — Historic Ellicott City will be on Good Morning America later Thursday morning.

Just like most businesses in Maryland, the shops and restaurants on Main Street had to close up back in March when COVID-19 first hit. Owners had to figure out how to keep sales going without letting customers inside to shop and eat.

Within the last four years, the strength of this historic town has really been tested, not just with this pandemic, but also with two major floods that caused millions of dollars in damage, so, back in August, Good Morning America sent two of its “sharks” from Shark Tank to help seven business owners get through this tough time.

On Thursday, at 8 a.m., on GMA, Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran will be sharing business tips with the owner of Sweet Elizabeth Jane, Tammy Beideman. Beideman lost everything after the first flood in 2016.

From there, she moved her store to higher ground on Main Street, where she still had to deal with issues after the second flood in 2018. Now, she's making her way through this new challenge of owning a business in a pandemic.
