OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Baltimore County firefighters have evacuated some buildings along Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills.
BGE says a high pressure gas main was struck by a private contractor Wednesday afternoon.
Crews are now working to shut off the gas in order to make repairs, which could temporarily impact some customers.
Anyone smelling natural gas should get to a safe location and immediately acall 9-1-1 or BGE at 877-778-7798.
Traffic on Reisterstown Road between Hammershire and High Falcon remains blocked. There is no timetable on when it may reopen.
