FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. — A teenager from Hyattsville, Maryland, is facing multiple charges in connection with a stabbing in Frederick County.
Deputies arrested 17-year-old Darwin Orlando Martinez-Serrano hours after the Thursday incident in Hyattsville.
On Thursday, deputies responded to the 7200 block of Bank Court following reports of a stabbing in the parking lot.
Authorities say the victim, who has not been identified, suffered multiple stab wounds to his arm, chest, and abdomen.
Investigators determined that the victim worked with Martinez-Serrano. A verbal argument between the two escalated into a physical fight in the parking lot.
During the altercation, Martinez-Serrano allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene.
He is charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
