Frederick County Fire and Rescue among those injured in motorcycle collision

Frederick County Fire and Rescue are investigating a motorcycle collision where fire and rescue personnel were struck.

Fire and Rescue were dispatched around 4:32 p.m. on Tuesday to a motorcycle accident in the 12900 block of Stottlemyer Road in Wolfsville. Upon arrival, officials began providing emergency care to a patient with traumatic injuries.

Shortly after, a second motorcycle drove around the fire engine and entered the original incident scene striking a total of 3 fire department personnel.

The patient from the original incident was taken to Meritus Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The driver from the second motorcycle was flown to Shock Trauma in critical condition.

Of the 3 Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue personnel, one was flown to Shock Trauma in stable condition, one was taken by ground to Meritus Medical Center with minor injuries, and one refused medical treatment.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is currently on the scene reconstructing and investigating the scene.
