COLUMBIA, Md. — Howard County Fire was at the scene of a 2-alarm fire in the 7200 block of Procopio Circle in Columbia Friday afternoon.
There was fire reported from two adjacent townhouses at around 3:15 p.m. Two additional townhouses received minor damage.
The fire was extinguished in less than an hour and officials say four residents have been displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
A firefighter was sent to the hospital as a precaution
There's an estimated $1 million in damage.
Fire investigators are working to determine the origin and cause of the blaze.
